Experience
Carlos has over 14 years of professional practice, period during which he has gained extensive experience in data protection and privacy, IT law, intellectual property, and advertising law, among other areas.
After starting his career in 2010 at Uría y Menéndez, Carlos worked for almost five years as an associate lawyer in the IP/IT Department of Fieldfisher’s Barcelona office. In 2021, he was appointed partner at Intangibles Legal, a renowned boutique law firm specializing in privacy and industrial and intellectual property. In October 2023, he joined Croma Legal as a partner.
Carlos advises both multinational companies and medium-sized enterprises operating in various sectors, including consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, gaming, and technology. Through Croma Legal, he also currently provides several companies with services as an external data protection officer and privacy lead.
Finally, as a privacy expert, he holds the CIPP/E certification issued by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Education
- Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Double degree in Law and Business Administration (2010), attending part of his studies at Erasmus University of Rotterdam (Holland), Erasmus scholarship.
- Queen Mary and Westfield College University of London, LL.M. in Intellectual Property (2013-2014).
- Barcelona Bar Association, postgraduate degree in procedural law (2020).
