Experience
Sergio de Juan-Creix has developed much of his career as an associate lawyer at the firm Cuatrecasas. He also led the IP / IT team at BDO Abogados in Barcelona. After these stages in leading law firms in Spain, and encouraged by his own clients, he founded the law firm croma legal supported by the firm Copyrait and its partner Enric Enrich.
«During my 15 years of professional practice, I have acquired extensive experience in industrial and intellectual property, unfair competition, distribution, advertising, e-commerce and personal data. In other words, I provide legal advice on those matters related to technology, entertainment, artworks, commercial agreements and digital environments, on regulatory, contractual and litigation issues.
This constant exposure to innovation and creativity has allowed me to accompany and grow together with several technology or digital-based startups, even advising on shareholders agreements and investment rounds where intangible assets are a key factor. In addition to advise leading companies in their projects in these tech and digital fields. hand, in recent years and learning from my partner Enric Enrich, I have advised on multiple matters in the entertainment and cultural sector, such as contracts for the music and audiovisual industry, local and international co-productions or negotiation with platforms, among others, in addition to help our clients to resolve disputes in these areas.
In this sense, I use my experience in the mediation field to creatively resolve our clients' disputes.»
Sergio also combines his professional practice with teaching in the areas of advertising, data protection and intellectual property.
Sergio is a mediator for the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the Private Law Mediation Center of Catalonia, as well as arbitrator and mediator of the Arbitration Court of the Barcelona Bar Association (TACAB).
Finally, he has different certifications in the field of privacy, such as that of an auditor of technological environments by the Barcelona Bar Association (AAULETEC) and that of Certified Data Privacy Professional (CDPP).
